Having the opportunity to share with others what I have learned and what my teachers have taught me about music and the flute is one of the most rewarding things, for me, about being a musician! I have been so lucky to have had wonderful teachers since the day that I started playing the flute that taught me so much about my instrument, music, and just life in general that I love being that resource for someone else!

In my opinion, the flute can be so darn tricky because we can’t put it into our mouths to have it make a sound! Once I had a good grasp of the physics of how sound works on the flute, my practicing totally changed! I was empowered to make decisions and changes around the way that I was playing the flute that gave me so much control over how I progressed and was no longer left hoping that what sounds came out of my instrument were what I wanted! My hope is that we can find those “lightbulb” moments together that totally change your relationship with your instrument and make the challenge of making music an incredibly rewarding one!

My aspirations for my students are to meet them wherever they are in their own journey and help them progress to whatever their goals may be. Do you want to make All-State? I got you!
